An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian T-90 main battle tank in the form with a cast turret in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. It is an extensive and detailed model: it contains a large number of parts, individual track links, photo-etched parts and metal cable. That makes the kit more demanding and it is recommended rather for more experienced modelers.
The T-90 is a Russian main battle tank that followed on from the proven T-72 design line and entered service at the end of the 1990s. It carries a 125 mm gun with an autoloader, a modern fire-control system and explosive reactive armor. The form with a cast (pressed) turret corresponds to the earlier production shape of the tank, unlike the later machines with a welded turret.
Reckon with the time it takes - the individual track links have to be assembled and fitted onto the running gear, ideally before the lower part of the hull is closed up and painted. Glue the photo-etched parts and the metal cable with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Over a primer, spray a modern Russian finish, whether a single color or a three-color camouflage. A wash and a paneliner in the engraved lines will draw the detail out, and dust pigments will give the running gear a realistic patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
