A set of plastic figures in 1:35 scale from the line that Master Box devotes to the present-day Russian-Ukrainian conflict. This item is the fourth in the line and its subject is the Ukrainian territorial defense forces. The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted, on injection-molded sprues.
Figures in 1:35 scale complete models of vehicles and scenes in the same scale. They give a diorama a sense of scale, action and a human dimension: only by a figure beside a vehicle does the viewer grasp the real size of the hardware. The set is therefore suited both to a standalone display scene and as an accessory to a model that is already built.
First clean the figures of mold seams with a fine scalpel and abrasive paper and fill the joints with a thin layer of filler. Spray the assembled figures with a base coat, ideally in a shade matching the dominant color of the uniform. Build up the skin from a mid flesh tone through darker shadows to highlights; paint the eyes with the finest brush and, if in doubt, merely suggest them. Unify the uniform and the gear with a light wash and add a drybrush on the edges. Finally seal everything with matte varnish; a semi-gloss is useful only on the leather of the straps and on the boots.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
