A diorama element for modelers who want a solid vertical wall in a scene. This is the first of three numbered versions of the same subject, so it can be bought on its own as a simple background or as the start of a longer run.
Numbered versions of the same motif make practical sense in diorama work: each piece looks slightly different but keeps the same visual language. When you place them side by side, the eye does not catch the repetition, and yet the whole reads as one continuous position. So lay the run out dry first and only then decide, according to the result, how much space to give the scene and from where the viewer will look at it.
Before painting, degrease the casting in a lukewarm soapy bath. Then comes a thin primer, ideally in a gray or brown tone, so that nothing has to be touched up in the deeper places. Keep the sacking in muted earth shades and make the individual bags slightly different, otherwise the whole wall merges. The base of the wall, on the other hand, takes a cooler gray. Settle the dust with pigment mainly where rain and wind would have carried it, at the lower edges and in the hollows between the bags.
You get the element unpainted and without accessories; all the paints, pigments and figures for the scene you add according to your own plan.
