A resin kit of the MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun made by 3D printing in 1:35 scale from the maker Spalah. The model is printed in quality photopolymer resin with very fine detail, from the muzzle brake and the gun shield through the aiming mechanisms to the carriage. The key joints are movable, so the gun can be built in the firing and in the travel (towed) position alike. It is a model of the weapon in its own right for advanced modelers, ideal as the centerpiece of a diorama.
The MT-12 Rapira is a 100 mm anti-tank gun with a smooth bore of Soviet design, introduced in the 1970s, which serves in the armies of a number of countries to this day, Ukraine among them. Thanks to its accuracy, its range and its ability to destroy armored vehicles, fortifications and personnel, it plays a role in anti-tank defense and in fire support for infantry. It is towed behind a tractor vehicle and is deployed for firing on the spread trail legs of the carriage.
First wash the print resin residue off the parts, carefully cut off the print supports and sand any marks with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Fit the fragile thin parts, such as the shield and the sights, with caution. We recommend a base of filler primer, then an airbrush and final weathering with washes and pigments for a dusty field look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
