Yamamoto Model Parts Schmalturm V2 1:35 is a resin replacement turret for so-called what if conversions of models of the E-50 and E-75 chassis. It is not a vehicle kit.

The set is a conversion accessory for a plastic model, not a complete kit. It offers a resin turret of the Schmalturm type in its second variant, intended for mounting on the hulls of the standardized chassis of the E-50 and E-75 family in 1:35 scale. It is a hypothetical, so-called what if combination, a joining of a turret and a hull that never existed in that form. That is exactly why the set suits modelers who want to build something other than another production machine.
The Schmalturm, in Czech the narrow turret, was a German design from the end of the Second World War. Compared with the older turret it had a reduced frontal area, more steeply sloped armor plates and a cast gun mantlet; the aim was to reduce the target area and the weight while keeping the protection. The E family, that is Entwicklung, was a program of chassis standardization that was to replace a set of varied types with a few unified weight categories. The E-50 and E-75 remained on paper and were never built, so all models of these machines are reconstructions from project documents.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, level the surfaces with wet abrasive paper and protect your airways. The dry fit is essential: compare the diameter of the turret ring with the opening in the hull and adjust any difference with a round file, never by force. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint over a surfacer, because the casting takes a gentle modulated lightening of the upper surfaces well. Handle the weathering with a dark wash in the engraved lines, pigments on the lower areas and gentle chipping of the edges.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
