An accessory set for a model of the German Sd.Kfz. 233 heavy armored car in 1:35. It completes the vehicle with parts that a kit does not have or that are only suggested in it.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sd.Kfz. 233 belongs to the family of German heavy armored cars on an eight-wheeled chassis. It differed from the reconnaissance versions in its open superstructure with a short 7.5 cm gun whose task was direct fire support. On a model the most interesting thing is therefore the open fighting compartment, which can be seen into, and the broken-up surface of a wheeled vehicle with its fenders, tools and stowage points all round the outline.
The set is meant for a model of this vehicle in 1:35 and completes it with parts that come into play on the finished vehicle where the kit has only a smooth surface. The manufacturer gives the exact make-up and the position of the individual parts in the instructions, so go through them before you glue anything. Adjust the layout according to period photographs so that the vehicle matches the particular situation you want to capture.
The material of the parts is not stated here, so match the glue to it: whatever is not polystyrene will hold with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), while polystyrene parts are joined by ordinary modeling cement. Cut the excess material and the marks left by production off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and carefully sand what remains, so that the surface stays whole. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, or the paint will hold badly on the smooth surface; on larger parts a thin coat of base color helps.
The set suits modelers who want a vehicle that looks lived in and used, whether as a model on its own or as part of a diorama.
The model of the vehicle, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
