This is a photo-etched detail set in thin brass sheet, not the model itself. The set is intended to refine a plastic kit of the Wespe self-propelled howitzer in 1:35 scale after the fact. It replaces and complements those elements that cannot be produced finely enough in injection-molded plastic.
Photo-etched parts usually refine the elements of a combat vehicle that are meant to be thin and sharp: grilles and covers, brackets and loops, hinges, fenders, chains, catches and the small fittings of the superstructure. The result is a more faithful and more three-dimensional overall impression on a finished model.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a firm surface, and make the bends along the etched grooves using a bending tool or two rulers. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or two-part epoxy, not with cement for plastic. Degrease them before painting and apply a primer suitable for metal.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
