1:35 Sd.Kfz.234/2 Puma is a photo-etched accessory from Eduard for a model of this German eight-wheeled reconnaissance vehicle. It does not replace the base kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The box contains photo-etched components for refining a plastic model of this armored car. The vehicle itself is not in the box. The code falls into the series Eduard uses for full photo-etched sets for vehicles in 1:35 scale. Photo-etching allows thin fenders, grilles and brackets of a kind that an injection mold cannot produce in principle.
The Sd.Kfz.234/2 belonged to the family of heavy eight-wheeled reconnaissance cars with all-wheel drive and a second driver's position for reversing. What sets it apart is the closed rotating turret with the 5 cm KwK 39/1 L/60 gun, thanks to which it could also deal with the enemy's lighter armored vehicles. It reached units from 1944 and was used on the western as well as the eastern front. The nickname Puma caught on so thoroughly that modeling literature uses it to this day.
Lay the photo-etched components out on the model dry first and only then fix them. Dose the cyanoacrylate glue with the tip of a wire so that the excess does not run into the engraved detail. Form the corrugated grilles over a rod of a suitable diameter. On the armor plates a pigment wash helps, as it emphasizes the transition between metal and plastic.
It is an accessory, not a complete model. Obtain the paints and the glue separately.
