An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.C half-track armored carrier in 1:35 scale from AFV Club, in the version nicknamed Stuka zu Fuss. The model captures the carrier rounded out with side launching frames for heavy rockets. The standard Sd.Kfz.251 formed the backbone of the German mechanized units as an armored infantry carrier. The version nicknamed Stuka zu Fuss carried launching frames for heavy large-caliber rockets on the sides of the hull, which could strike area targets with massive destructive force. The nickname alluded to an effect comparable with a dive bomber, hence Stuka on foot. The frames could be fired even while folded on the vehicle.
Assemble and paint the interior of the hull and the running gear before closing the model. Bend the photo-etched parts precisely and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, and the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic. After the base shade and the varnish, bring out the rivets and the detail with a wash and add dust and mud pigments on the tracks and the lower hull; bring the wooden crates of the rocket frames to life with wood shades.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
