This set of the LooK range from the Czech maker Eduard offers the instrument panel as a finished part for a model in 1:72 scale. In a scale this small, picking out dials by hand is especially thankless, so a ready-made panel saves a great deal of time and nerves and the cockpit reads as one piece.
The Bf 109 G-14 belonged to the late series of the famous German fighter. The suffix AS denotes the form with an engine modified for better performance at higher altitude, which called for changes in the forward fuselage and in the outline of the engine cowling. Modelers therefore distinguish this subversion and build it as a type of its own, not as an ordinary G-14.
It suits modelers who build in a small scale and want a presentable cockpit even there. It will also serve well in a collection where several forms of the Bf 109 stand side by side and the differences between them are to be visible inside as well, not only in the outline of the airframe. A panel can moreover be seated even by a modeler with no experience of photo-etched parts.
