An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.251/9 armored half-track carrier in the Ausf.C version, armed with a short 7.5 cm gun, in 1:35 scale. The release from Dragon combines new plastic parts with a number of 3D-printed and metal components; the box contains, among other things, a hollow-bored barrel and Ez-track tracks. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Sd.Kfz.251/9, nicknamed Stummel, meaning stump, after its short barrel, was the version of the half-track carrier fitted with a 7.5 cm gun intended for direct fire support of infantry. The short weapon made it possible to destroy fortifications and lightly armored targets straight from a moving combat formation. The Ausf.C version was marked by its characteristic shaped front armor plate over the engine compartment.
Cut the fine 3D-printed and metal parts away carefully and glue them with cyanoacrylate; glue the plastic parts with thin cement. The Ez-track tracks make assembling the running gear easier. A primer, an airbrush for the camouflage and washes with pigments for mud and dust weathering on the running gear and the hull all pay off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
