Sd.Kfz.7 - color 3D interior 1:35 (Quinta Studio)

The set brings three-dimensional interior parts colored straight from the factory, printed by 3D printing technology and carried on decal backing paper. It is not a kit and not a complete model but an accessory intended for detailing the interior of a plastic kit of the eight-ton half-track tractor of the Sd.Kfz.7 family in 1:35 scale. The parts are noticeably thicker than ordinary decals and combine the relief of resin parts with the easy application of colored photoetch. The set is prepared for the Sd.Kfz.7 kit from Trumpeter.

The real subject

The Sd.Kfz.7 was a German medium half-track tractor of the Second World War, widely used as an artillery prime mover for towing howitzers and anti-aircraft guns and for carrying crews. Its roomy crew compartment and its instrument panel are a rewarding place for added detailing.

Use

• Cut the part out, dip it in lukewarm water and slide it off the backing like a classic decal. Do not drop a softener into the water, as it would attack the printed resin.
• Place it on the matching surface of the interior; for a permanent hold on the thicker parts use a small amount of glue.
• The interior is pre-colored including the instruments and the lettering, so painting is usually not needed; the effect can be tuned with a toning varnish.

The accessory does not contain the kit itself. Paints, glue and other parts are not included, unless stated otherwise.
