1:35 SH-60F Ocean Hawk interior 3D decals

A set of colored three-dimensional decals for the interior of an SH-60F helicopter model in 1:35 scale. It fills out the cockpit and the inner compartment and replaces the hand painting of fine detail. The decals have a coloring and a noticeable thickness of their own, thanks to which they look three-dimensional once applied. The helicopter model itself has to be bought separately.

The real subject

The SH-60F Ocean Hawk was a carrier-based antisubmarine helicopter of the US Navy derived from the H-60 type. It operated straight off aircraft carriers and was fitted with a dipping sonar with which it hunted submarines in the immediate surroundings of the task force. For that reason the inner compartment was laid out differently from the land-based versions of the Black Hawk family, and the interior is a marked identifying feature on it.

How to use the set

• It goes in at the stage of a finished interior, before the fuselage is closed up.
• The decals are aimed at the panels, consoles and surfaces inside the cabin.
• In 1:35 scale the inner compartment of a helicopter is large and clearly visible, so the detail pays off.
• Work in parts and keep checking that the adjoining parts of the model still seat properly.
• The set is tied to a particular version, so check which variant of the H-60 you are building before buying.
