The set contains individual metal links of a workable track of the T54E1 type and wire for making the pins. It is not a tank model but a premium accessory that replaces the plastic or rubber tracks from a kit with more convincing metal ones. The cast links have a realistic weight and sharp detail and are workable once assembled.
The T54E1 track type was among the variants used on American Sherman medium tanks and on vehicles built on their chassis. The metal links follow the shape of the original faithfully and give the correct sag of the run over the road wheels.
Join the links with wire threaded through the pin holes; secure the pieces of wire and nip off the excess. Before painting, degrease the metal and prime it, otherwise the paint will not hold. Weathering is created with a wash, pigments and a dry brush with a metallic sheen.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
