A limited edition gift set from the manufacturer Takom that brings together two complete injection-molded plastic tank kits in 1:35 scale and, in addition, a figure of an American tank crewman. In the box you will find the late war M4A1 (76w) with HVSS suspension, the Israeli postwar M1 Super Sherman and a figure of a tank crewman with a .50 caliber machine gun in 1:16 scale. The kits contain photo-etched parts, a metal gun barrel, workable tracks and clear parts for vision blocks and optics.
The M4A1 (76w) HVSS was a late war variant of the Sherman with a cast hull, heavier main armament and the improved horizontal volute spring suspension, which improved its ride. The Israeli Super Sherman came about through a postwar upgrade of Shermans with a heavier main weapon, a reworked turret and additional protection. The set thus maps the development of one of the most widespread tanks from the Second World War into the Cold War.
On both tanks finish the running gear and the interior first, then close up the hull. Assemble the workable tracks patiently and fit the metal barrel at the end. For weathering use washes and pigments; paint the crewman figure separately and place it into a diorama or a vignette.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
