An accessory for modelers who are building the American light M777 howitzer in 1:35 scale. The item is listed as one piece, so this is not a whole model of the gun but a single element for replacing or completing something on a finished build.
The M777 is a towed howitzer of 155 mm caliber, which took the place of older and considerably heavier guns of the same caliber. A load-bearing structure of titanium alloys brought the weight down to around four tons, so the gun can be carried slung under a helicopter or by a lighter tractor, and a battery can be moved in a moment. A number of armies use it, and in recent years it has also been appearing in photographs from the fighting in eastern Europe, which has made it popular among modelers.
Try the part dry in the place where it seats first and only then fix it. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest down carefully, so as not to touch the detail. Wash and degrease the surface before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly. If the material does not react to cement for polystyrene, rely on super glue applied with the point of a pin. The particular procedure for seating it is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The box holds only the part named. The kit of the howitzer, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
