A kit of the wheeled armored personnel carrier in the Polish SKOT form, 1:35 scale. The abbreviation SKOT is the Polish designation of the same machine that in Czechoslovakia was listed as the OT-64. The extent of the package and the material of the parts are stated on the box; in any case the model has to be assembled and painted.
The vehicle came about as a joint program of two countries, and the division of the work was set: one side supplied the powerplant and the chassis assemblies, the other provided the hull and final assembly. That is exactly why the machine has two designations and is spoken of differently in each army, although it is the same design. Polish service was extensive and long, the vehicles saw a number of modifications and were exported to further operators. The differences between the individual forms concerned mainly the roof, the equipment and the weapon station.
Wheeled armored vehicles stand or fall on the geometry of the axles: check it dry and only then glue. Leave the tires in a matte dark gray shade; pure black looks artificial. A winter scheme looks superb on this machine: a thin coat of white can be applied over the base shade and then partly wiped off, so the original finish shows through underneath and convincing rubbed wear appears.
The parts are unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not enclosed.
