A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale for models of the T-34/85 medium tank in Soviet service, designated as the second part of the series. It is not a kit or a resin accessory: it is a set of markings that gives a model tactical numbers, emblems and inscriptions. Check exactly what the sheet depicts against the illustration on the packaging.
The T-34/85 is the late development branch of the Soviet T-34 medium tank. It received a larger turret for three men and an 85 mm gun, so the commander stopped serving the weapon and could devote himself to commanding. The enlarged turret with its rear overhang and the longer barrel are the most conspicuous recognition features of this version. The machine was produced in several plants and the individual batches differed in small details on the turret and the hull, which is one more reason to pick markings for a model that suit the particular guise.
The base must be smooth and glossy, otherwise a white veil (silvering) stays under the decal, so spray the area with gloss varnish. Cut the design out as close as possible, dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide freely. Moisten the spot, slide the decal off the paper, fine-tune the position with a brush and draw the excess water off. On intricate areas and rivets use a decal softener. Once dry, spray the model with a matte or semi-matte varnish, so that the edges disappear, and only then move on to the patina.
It is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints, varnish and softener are not part of the package.
