1:35 Soviet BT-2 is an Eduard photo-etched set for completing a model of the Soviet BT-2 fast tank. It is an accessory for a kit, not the model itself.

A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a plastic model of the BT-2 tank in 1:35 scale. It holds parts etched from thin metal sheet, with which the plastic elements that cannot be made thin enough in miniature are replaced or completed - typically fenders, grilles, brackets and small fittings. The set is sold separately as an accessory, and the plastic kit is not included in the package.
The BT-2 was the first series-produced Soviet fast tank of the BT series, which was based on the chassis design of the American designer Christie. Its characteristic feature was convertible drive: the machine could run on tracks across country, or, once the tracks were taken off, on large road wheels along a road, which gave it a speed unusual for its time. The vehicle was lightly armored and was produced in several armament variants. The design of the BT series became the development basis that later Soviet tanks followed on from.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, not with side cutters. Make longer bends in a bending tool, while the small ones will do with the jaws of flat pliers. Metal is not glued with cement for plastic - use cyanoacrylate glue, and epoxy on larger areas and loaded joints. Before painting, degrease the sheet and use a primer. On a tank it pays to finish the running gear and the interior elements before the hull is closed up, and to deal with the patina of mud and dust only after the photo-etched parts have been glued on.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
