Metallic Details 1:35 Soviet F-1 and RGD-5 grenades is an add-on set of miniature castings with photo-etched parts for dioramas and the equipment of models. It is not a kit of a vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set of small equipment for dioramas and models in 1:35 scale. It contains miniature castings of hand grenades of two design types together with photo-etched parts for storing them. It is an accessory for a scene, not a standalone kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
The F-1 is a grenade with a cast-iron body with pronounced grooving of the surface, and the RGD-5 has a smooth pressed steel body of egg shape. Both types were produced in large series in the postwar period and were transported in crates with dividers inserted. The description stays with the design and technical point of view.
Small equipment is part of kits only in a simplified form, if at all. The castings in this set have a distinct shape of the body and clean edges, and the photo-etched parts make it possible to put together storage with a realistic wall thickness. In a diorama details like these give the scene scale and credibility.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that residues of release agent are removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw; do not break them off. Work wet when sanding and protect your airways. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a base before painting. A cast-iron body with grooving stands out when, after the base color, you accent the edges lightly and let a dark wash into the hollows, where it will flow into the grooves and bring out the texture.
The set is an accessory for a diorama, not a standalone kit. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
