A resin replacement set of wheels and tires in 1:35 scale for the Soviet wheeled carrier of the SS-23 missile system. It is not a model of the vehicle but a detail accessory that replaces the wheels from a plastic kit. The tires are cast with a realistic surface, so once they are fitted the heavy launch vehicle looks convincing on its chassis.
The SS-23 (in Soviet designation the OTR-23 Oka) was a Soviet mobile short-range missile system on a wheeled self-propelled launch and transport chassis. It was deployed in the 1980s and was a modern tactical weapon of its day. Faithful wheels with their tread underline the character of this large vehicle.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand with respiratory protection. Paint the tires in a matte dark gray, bring out the tread with dry-brushing and build up dust and mud with pigments.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
