A set of 76.2 mm ammunition for the Soviet F-34 and ZiS-5 tank guns in the late form, 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-34 gun was the main armament of the Soviet T-34 medium tank, and the ZiS-5 was carried by the KV-1 heavy tank. Both weapons fired the same family of 76.2 mm rounds, even though they are commonly given rounded off as 76 mm. This caliber was an advantage for the Red Army precisely in its versatility: a tank with it managed fighting armored targets as well as supporting infantry, which in the conditions of the Eastern Front counted for more than record penetrating power.
The set is listed as the late form, and the early form is its counterpart for the same gun. The mainstay of the ammunition was the high-explosive shell, and alongside it armor-piercing rounds were used and later a sub-caliber projectile for fighting at shorter range. Soviet wartime production was at the same time looking for savings, so steel was used for the cases alongside brass, and the finished rounds therefore differed from one another in appearance too.
For builders of Soviet armored vehicles of the Second World War in 1:35 scale, above all for models with an open fighting compartment and for scenes with ammunition being replenished. The package holds the parts of the ammunition. The model, figures, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
