A free, non-military figure pitched into the post-apocalyptic genre. The distinction N°1 Grinder separates it from the second figure of the same pair, so both can be set into one scene without resembling each other.
The figure is tied to no particular source and no historical period, which opens up scenes where a period figure does not belong: vehicle wrecks, overgrown ruins, abandoned industrial buildings or a small vignette of its own on a round base. The 1:35 scale means it can be combined with ordinary hardware kits and with terrain accessories of the same size. A genre subject also has the advantage that period accuracy does not tie you down; nobody is going to compare the cut of the clothing with photographs and you have a free hand in both the color scheme and the whole composition.
Resin softens with heat, so a slightly bent part can be straightened with a brief dip in hot water and held in the desired position until it cools. Go over the parting planes with a sharp scalpel and polish them with a sanding sponge; fill any remaining seam with putty and level it once it has dried. A thin pin of copper wire will reliably strengthen the joint of a head or an arm and keep the glued joint from breaking off during later handling.
