Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the prehistoric dinosaur Stegosaurus stenops in 1:35 scale from Tamiya, from the prehistoric world range. The model has well-worked, wrinkled skin that looks very lifelike and is designed so that the parts fit together and glue is not strictly necessary for assembly. The assembled model is roughly 21 cm long. The real subject is the characteristic herbivore with rows of bony plates along its back and spikes on its tail.
The Stegosaurus was a large herbivorous dinosaur that lived in the Late Jurassic, roughly 150 million years ago. Its marks are two rows of large bony plates along the back and four massive spikes at the end of the tail, which apparently served for defense. It had a small head, short front and longer hind limbs, so the back rose toward the hips.
Thanks to the construction that needs no glue you can build the model quickly, but we still recommend securing the joints with cement for plastic. The greatest scope for your own expression is in the painting - the wrinkled skin comes out beautifully with dry-brushing and glazes that emphasize the texture. The plates and the spikes can be set apart in color. The model looks good on a simple natural base with grass and stones.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
