This is NOT a complete model but a resin conversion set for experienced modelers. It serves to convert an existing plastic kit of the Toldi tank (from Hobby Boss) into the Swedish light tank Stridsvagn m/38. The set contains resin parts, photo-etched parts, a turned metal barrel, pre-cut clear parts and decals. The base plastic kit, the donor kit, has to be obtained separately, as it is not included in this set.
The Stridsvagn m/38 was a Swedish light tank of the Landsverk L-60 family, to which the Hungarian Toldi is also related, hence the shared parts for the conversion. Sweden adapted the machine to its own requirements and took it into service before the Second World War. It was a lightly armored vehicle with a small-caliber anti-tank gun, intended for reconnaissance and support.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts in warm soapy water. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter and sand the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), because ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Apply a good primer before painting. The set suits advanced modelers with experience of conversions.
