Decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals: Sturm! StuG III Ausf G, Ostfront 1943-45. Markings of German assault guns on the Eastern Front.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set from the Star Decals brand in 1:35 scale, tied by theme to the StuG III assault gun in the Ausf G version on the Eastern Front in the period 1943 to 1945. It is not a model or a plastic accessory. It is the markings with which you give a finished StuG its attachment to a unit and its tactical designation.
The StuG III Ausf G is the most widespread and longest produced version of the whole series. Against the older forms it has a reworked superstructure with a commander's cupola, the 7.5 cm StuK 40 gun with a long barrel and, in later production, a cast gun mantlet nicknamed the Saukopf. Assault guns, moreover, belonged not to the tank but to the artillery units, which showed in the way they were marked. Instead of large turret numbers, smaller tactical numbers, detachment insignia and lettering on the sides of the superstructure appeared on them more often. The span of 1943 to 1945 also takes in both vehicles in a single color and later three-color camouflage.
The sides of the StuG superstructure are large flat areas, so decals seat on them easily. Watch out at places with Zimmerit or with a coarse texture, where more softener and more patience are needed. Work with tweezers and a soft brush, go over the base with gloss varnish beforehand and finally lock the finished markings in with a matte varnish, so that they fall in with the camouflage. Follow the manufacturer's directions on the packaging.
