Tamiya StuG III — photo-etched grilles 1:35 is a set of photo-etched grilles for the engine compartment of models of the StuG III assault gun in 1:35 scale.

A set of photo-etched parts from Tamiya intended to improve models of the German assault gun StuG III in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but a metal accessory that replaces the intake and exhaust grilles on the engine deck with more faithful thin photo-etched parts. Thanks to them the top surface of the hull looks finer and more realistic than the solid plastic parts.
The StuG III (Sturmgeschütz III) was a German tracked assault gun on the chassis of the Panzer III tank, one of the most heavily produced armored vehicles of the Wehrmacht in the Second World War. At first it served for direct fire support of the infantry, and later widely as a tank destroyer as well.
Photo-etched parts are separated carefully with a sharp blade on a hard surface and bent with a photo-etch bender or a ruler. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before the paint goes on it is worth degreasing the metal and giving it a primer, so that the paint holds well.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the basic model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
