An injection-molded plastic kit of the Swedish CV90 tracked infantry fighting vehicle in the -40 version, in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model has a slide-molded hull and turret and photo-etched parts. Check the exact number of parts and the extent of the markings on the packaging.
The CV90 (in Swedish Stridsfordon 90) is a family of tracked fighting vehicles developed from the middle of the 1980s by the Swedish company Hägglunds. The prototypes went through trials at the end of the 1980s and series production for the Swedish army began in the 1990s. The CV90-40 version is armed with a 40 mm Bofors autocannon and carries an infantry squad. The vehicle stands out for its low silhouette, good mobility and ability to destroy armored targets as well as ground units; the CV90 family spread to several European armies.
First assemble and paint the running gear, then fit the tracks. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Assemble the turret with its long 40 mm gun carefully, because it is the focal element. Once the base color and the varnish are on, bring out the panel lines and the details with a wash and apply pigments for the mud and dust effects of Nordic terrain to the running gear and the lower areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
