The real subject

The T-34 was one of the most successful and most widely built tanks of the Second World War. The 1942 version with the 76 mm gun combined sloped armor, good mobility and wide availability, and it was exactly the simplicity of manufacture that made it possible to build enormous numbers. The sloped armor raised protection without adding weight and made the T-34 a tank that fundamentally influenced the development of armored vehicles.

Building and painting tips

Assemble and seat the running gear before finishing the hull. Choose the shade of Soviet green according to the markings you pick. The character of the T-34 comes out with more pronounced weathering: a wash in the welds and recesses, drybrushing on the edges of the armor and plenty of dust and mud pigments on the running gear. The stowed equipment and the fuel tanks bring the silhouette to life; the hatches can be set slightly open.
