An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet medium tank T-34/85 as built by Factory No. 183 (Nizhny Tagil) in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. It is the full-interior release, which covers the engine and fighting compartments, the ammunition stowage and the inside of the turret. The box offers a well-worked running gear, clear plastic parts for a view inside and decals; it is a more demanding kit for experienced builders.
The T-34/85 was the peak of the development of the legendary Soviet T-34 medium tank. Compared with the earlier versions it was given a larger three-man turret and a powerful 85 mm gun, which improved its combat value against German tanks. Factory No. 183 in Nizhny Tagil was the largest producer of the T-34 and its machines show the characteristic hull and turret details of 1944.
Paint the interior and bring it out with washes before you close the hull and fit the turret. Assemble and weather the running gear and the individual track links separately. An airbrush suits the typical Russian green, and the final effects come from dust pigments, mud in the wheel wells and a fine rub along the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
