The Eduard photo-etched set of grilles and armor plates for the T-55A tank in 1:35 scale is a photo-etch detail accessory, not a model of the tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
An etched brass detail set in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model but an accessory for sharpening a plastic kit of the Soviet T-55A tank. The set concentrates above all on the engine grilles and the applique armor plates — elements that cannot be made faithfully in injection-molded plastic and that look far finer in the etched version. That makes a finished model noticeably more realistic.
The T-55A is a Soviet main battle tank, one of the most widely built tanks in history, armed with a 100 mm gun. It served with dozens of armies around the world, and its engine grilles above the radiators are among the characteristic recognition features of the rear of the hull.
Separate the etched parts carefully from the fret, bend them on the edge of a blade or in a bending tool and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The fine grilles over the engine look best when the shadow of the space inside shows through them. Give matte brass surfaces a primer before varnishing and weather with washes and pigments only once the construction is finished.
This is not a model but a detail accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
