The 100 mm D-10T2S is a 1:35 replacement for the split plastic part on models of the T-55A medium tank.

A smoothly cylindrical weapon without a muzzle brake is a rewarding but also a treacherous part on a model: every unevenness left after the halves are glued shows at first glance. The replacement is made in one piece, its muzzle is already open and the fume extractor is suggested in the middle of its length. The manufacturer prepared it for its own kit of the T-55A in 1:35.
The T-55 came about as a development of the T-54 type and was built in enormous numbers not only in the Soviet Union but also in Czechoslovakia and Poland. The T-55A version brought anti-radiation lining of the fighting compartment and improved equipment. The 100 mm D-10 gun accompanied the whole family from the 1950s; the version with two-plane stabilization and a fume extractor allowed firing on the move and kept the crew out of reach of the gases after a shot.
The weapon slides into the gun mantlet, so clean the opening of plastic residue before gluing. Because there is no muzzle brake, any deviation from the axis is noticeable: line the part up against the turret and against the hull while the glue still holds only lightly. Only then tighten the joint and let it cure undisturbed.
You are buying a replacement gun, and the hull and turret are not to be looked for in the package.
