About product

T-62 1:35 - Eduard, photo-etched set

A photo-etched detailing set from Eduard for the Soviet T-62 tank in 1:35 scale. This is not a model of the vehicle but a set of fine metal parts, which will replace simplified plastic features and raise the fidelity of the build. It usually holds fenders, grilles, brackets, tie-down loops and small details of the exterior.

The real subject

The T-62 was a Soviet medium, or rather main, battle tank taken into service in the 1960s. As the first production tank it carried a smoothbore gun of 115 mm caliber. It was built in large numbers, was supplied to a number of friendly armies and saw combat in many conflicts of the Cold War and after it.

Usage tips

Bend the parts over the edge of a ruler and glue them with super glue. Remove the plastic features that are being replaced, degrease the metal before painting and use a base paint. Weathering with dust and mud effects will bring out the character of the vehicle.

Who the set is for

  • modelers building Soviet and Eastern equipment in 1:35
  • anyone interested in raising the detail of the exterior of a tank
  • more advanced builders with experience of photo-etched parts

The accessory is supplied on its own, without the model of the vehicle, paints and glue.

FAQ

No, it is a photo-etched accessory. The T-62 model itself is not included in the package.

As the first production tank it carried a smoothbore gun of 115 mm caliber.

Photo-etched parts are glued with super glue; ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on metal.
