A plastic kit of the T-62 Mod. 1960 medium tank in the Iraqi modification, 1:35 scale. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-62 was a Soviet medium tank of the 1960s and the first series-built tank with a smoothbore gun of 115 mm caliber. It followed the shapes of the previous family, but it had a longer hull and a bigger turret. It was exported to many countries and also entered the inventory of Iraq, which is what the designation in the name refers to.
The plastic kit in 1:35 scale is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The parts are attached to sprues, and the builder cuts them off, cleans them up, glues them and paints them according to the instructions. The hull of the finished model measures around nineteen centimeters, so it is a model of the usual display-case size for this scale.
Assemble the running gear on a flat surface and check the wheel spacing dry before the glue sets. Clean the long barrel up along its whole length and, once it is fitted, check that it points straight. Paint the tools, the tanks and the fittings on the hull separately, as that gives the model depth. Cut the small handles and eyes off a little away from the part so that they do not break. Complete the base green finish by emphasizing the shadows around the hatches and the mechanisms, lightening the horizontal surfaces and dusting the running gear and the lower hull.
The set suits collectors of armor in 1:35 scale and builders of dioramas from Middle Eastern conflicts. Take the particular form of the modifications, the paint list and the range of markings from the instructions. Paints, glue, filler and other materials are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
