A figure set in 1:35 scale with American paratroopers and a British tank crewman from the Second World War. Suited to dioramas with Allied vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings together two faces of the Allied soldier in Western Europe during the Second World War: American paratroopers and a British tank crewman. You recognize the paratroopers by their high lace-up boots and the combat jacket with large pockets, while armored vehicle crews were set apart by overalls and a helmet of a different cut. In a display case the two shapes therefore hold together and are still easy to tell apart at a glance.
The box holds several figures in poses that assume contact with each other: the figures talk together, point out a direction or hand over equipment. They are assembled from several parts, so the stance and the angle of the arms can be adapted to the scene within reason.
Cut away excess material and production marks with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest with fine abrasive paper. Wash and degrease the assembled figures, and only then apply a base coat; uniform shades hold on it far better. It pays to shade the faces and hands with a thin shade, and to bring out the gear with a dry brush instead.
The set is for modelers who want to show scale and action beside a vehicle, and for builders of dioramas from the fighting in Western Europe. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
