Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale for a model of the Tiger I heavy tank. The markings are tied to one particular machine with the tactical number 007 from the heavy tank battalion numbered 101, as the name of the item records, with the time and place given as Normandy, August 1944. It is not a kit or a resin accessory: it is a set of decals with which a finished model gains an exact identity. Check the exact contents of the sheet on the packaging.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank with an 8.8 cm gun and heavy frontal armor; its weight called for wide combat tracks, which were exchanged for narrower ones for transport by rail. Vehicles deployed in Normandy in the summer of 1944 are marked out by later production features and usually by three-color camouflage. Tactical numbers were painted on the sides of the turret on this equipment and are the most conspicuous element of the whole vehicle, which is why on a model it pays to reach for a sheet with the correct shape and size of numerals.
The base has to be smooth and glossy, otherwise a white veil (silvering) stays under the decal, so spray the area with gloss varnish. Cut the design out as close as possible, dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide freely on the paper. Moisten the spot, slide the decal off, adjust its position with a brush and blot the excess water away. On an intricate surface use a decal softener. Once dry, spray the model with a matte or semi-matte varnish and only then go on with washes, pigments and chipping.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints, varnish and softener are not included in the package.
