This set by the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya contains turned brass 88 mm rounds and cases in 1:35 scale, intended for the gun of the German heavy tank Tiger I. The metal version offers sharp definition and the natural sheen of brass, which plastic moldings can hardly imitate. The ammunition serves to fill the ammunition stowage in the interior or as a detail in a diorama.
Ammunition laid out around a model adds credibility to an open tank model and to a diorama alike. You can put the turned projectiles and cases into ammunition racks, lean them against the vehicle or arrange them around the crew while loading. The set is intended primarily for Tiger I kits by Tamiya, but it will serve on other models with an 88 mm gun as well.
