A resin replacement barrel in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. This is not a model of the vehicle but a detail accessory, the barrel of the gun fitted with a canvas cover of the kind that protected the muzzle and the bore of the weapon from dirt and from the weather. The accessory is intended for the German Tiger II tank with the production turret and for the Jagdpanther tank destroyer with the 88 mm gun.
The barrel matches the 88 mm KwK 43 and PaK 43 L/71 gun. A covered barrel gives a model the authentic field look of a vehicle out of action. The resin casting captures the folds and the texture of the fabric faithfully, which are hard to cast in plastic, and it replaces the original barrel from the base kit.
Wash the part free of release agent residue, cut off the casting block and glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Put a primer on before painting. The fabric cover comes out once the folds have been brought out with a wash and a dry brush; a color slightly different from the metal parts suits it.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. A matching base kit is needed to use it.
