The set is not a model of the tank but an accessory for it. It deals with one of the most conspicuous shortcomings of boxed kits: the towing cable is usually molded in plastic as a stiff, flat rod with a schematic surface that never looks like steel wire rope. Eureka XXL specializes in precisely these cables and offers them in a form matching a particular vehicle, here the Israeli Magach 6B Gal Batash.
Magach is the Israeli designation for American tanks of the M48 and M60 series modified for local service. The Gal Batash version is one of the late upgrades of the M60 line and is marked by add-on armor protection made up of modules, a reworked turret and modified external stowage. The way the towing cables are stowed and their length differ on these machines from the original American vehicles, which is why it makes sense to use a cable prepared for this version.
Measure the braided cable against the actual stowage on the model, and only then cut. Before cutting, wipe the ends with a drop of super glue or wrap them with a piece of adhesive tape, otherwise they will unravel. Slide the cable into the eyes dry, check the sag and only then secure it with glue. You get a natural shape by letting the cable settle freely into the brackets, not by stretching it taut like a string. It can be painted with blackening or a dark metallic shade, followed by a dry brush to bring out the braiding and a rusty wash where the cable would rub against the hull. Finish the eyes in the same color as the hull, so that they blend with the vehicle.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
