A detail set for improving a model of the Israeli Merkava Mk.I and Mk.II tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory that replaces the plastic towing cable from the box with a realistic combination of flexible copper wire rope and cast resin eyes. The cable has the right thickness and a natural lay, and it can be positioned faithfully on the hull mounts.
A towing cable is a conspicuous and often photographed detail on modern tanks. Unlike plastic, scale metal rope can be bent naturally and made to follow the shape of the armor, so it looks as though it really hangs under its own weight.
Shorten the rope to suit the model, glue the ends into the resin eyes with super glue and clean the casting remains off the eyes beforehand. The cable is positioned on its mounts and painted and weathered together with the whole vehicle.
This is an accessory for a model. The tank itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
