This is a set of metal track links for the Japanese light tank Type 95. It is not a model but a detail accessory for a model of the Japanese light tank Type 95 in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Friulmodel (Hungary).
The set brings individual metal track links of white metal, which are put together and joined with wires (the pins), so that the track stays movable once assembled. Thanks to the weight of the metal the track settles naturally and sags between the road wheels, which looks more faithful than the vinyl tracks of the basic kit. The links have a sharp casting and a finer rendering of detail.
The Type 95 Ha-Go was a Japanese light tank of the Second World War period, widely used in the Pacific and in China. It was light and mobile and it served above all for infantry support and reconnaissance.
Clean the links carefully of flash and sprue remains so that they fit together smoothly. It is practical to paint the assembled track separately from the model: apply a primer suited to metal, a dark metallic base shade and then weathering with washes and pigments, which show well on the running gear. On a light tank the fine detail of the links stands out, so clean the track carefully and paint it evenly. Sag on the upper run gives the model a realistic look.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The vehicle itself, glue and paints are not included unless stated otherwise.
