Resin wheels with weighted tires for a model of the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker Armory. An accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of cast wheels with weighted tires for a model of the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter in 1:35 scale. It is not a helicopter kit but an accessory that replaces the plastic wheels from the kit. The underside of the tire is cast flattened, as if the weight of the machine were pressing on the wheel. On a helicopter this stands out more than on an aircraft: the machine stands on the ground with its full weight and the wheels are exposed, without bays and covers. The one-piece casting also has no parting line running through the middle of the tire.
The UH-60 Black Hawk is an American utility helicopter from Sikorsky. It first flew in 1974 and entered service at the end of the 1970s as a replacement for the older UH-1 machines. It has a pair of T700 turboshaft engines and a four-blade main rotor. Unlike most utility helicopters of its day it does not stand on skids but on fixed wheeled landing gear with a tail wheel at the rear. A whole range of versions came from it for transport, for medical evacuation and for special tasks.
Wash the parts in warm soapy water so that the mold release agent disappears. Cut the casting block off with a fine-toothed saw and sand the face down, protecting your breathing while you sand. Glue with cyanoacrylate, that is, super glue; cement for polystyrene does not hold on resin. Point the flattened part of the tire toward the base and align both sides. Spray a primer before painting.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
