An injection-molded plastic kit of the American wheeled tractor Case VAI in US Army equipment in 1:35 scale from Thunder Model. The set holds a detailed engine, transmission and chassis, photo-etched parts and silicone tires, and it offers the engine hood optionally open or closed. It is a compact and unconventional support vehicle, an ideal addition to dioramas with aircraft and vehicles.
The Case VAI was an American wheeled tractor whose letter I in the designation pointed to the industrial standard. During the Second World War these tractors served the US Army as general-purpose tractors for towing artillery and supply trailers and for handling lighter aircraft at airfields. Thanks to their agility and simplicity they found use in logistics and on bases far from the front, where they took on a range of support tasks.
Assemble the engine and the chassis first; if you choose the open hood, give the engine extra care, because it will remain visible. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and attach the photo-etch with super glue. Fit the silicone tires only after painting. Apply a primer and the olive army shade with an airbrush; bring out the engine and the details with shading and a wash, and add dust and mud pigments to the tires and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
