An injection-molded plastic figure set, U.S. Gun and Mortar Team, in 1:35 scale from Tamiya: American crews of crew-served weapons and of a mortar from the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic set of figures of American crews of crew-served weapons and of a mortar in 1:35 scale from the Japanese maker Tamiya. The set contains eight figures in realistic action poses together with weapons and accessories such as a radio set and ammunition crates. It suits dioramas and standalone display alike and is compatible with other Tamiya kits in 1:35 scale.
American infantry units in the Second World War relied on crew-served weapons, which provided sustained fire support and indirect fire. The set includes an 81 mm mortar, an antitank bazooka, a Browning M1919 machine gun and an M2 heavy machine gun of 12.7 mm on an antiaircraft mount.
Cut the small parts off the sprues carefully and fit them with thin cement for plastic, then clean up the mold lines. Apply a primer before painting. Shade and highlight the faces and hands, and bring out the uniforms with a dry brush and a light wash. Paint in and lightly weather the weapons, the mortar and the ammunition crates only at the end.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
