This is a resin detail and add-on set in 1:35 scale, not a standalone model of a tank. The set contains the mounting base (the supporting bracket) for the MCR mine clearing roller, which on the American M1 Abrams tank is attached to the front of the hull. It serves to complete and rework a plastic base model realistically.
A mine clearing roller is a mine-clearing device fitted ahead of a tank, which uses its weight to set off pressure-activated mines at a safe distance in front of the vehicle. The resin base makes it possible to fit this device to a model of the M1 Abrams faithfully and firmly, with the correct geometry of the attachment at the front.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush works well, and you can fine-tune the patina with washes and pigments for a dusty or muddy look.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
