Contemporary American tank crew, a 1:35 set holds several Black Dog resin figures at once and will man a whole vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin figures from Black Dog that extends the separately sold crew pieces. Being carried among the sets indicates that there are several castings in the box; their number is nowhere given, though, so it is not relied on here. The box is meant for those who do not want to fill a turret one figure at a time.
As soon as more than one figure leans out of the hatches, a story starts to arise between them. One looks ahead, another turns to the side and the viewer imagines for himself that they are telling each other something. The effect costs a modeler a few minutes at the gluing stage and lifts the impression of a finished vehicle more than hours spent on patina. It is therefore a good idea to try the arrangement dry and to use a camera to check how the pair looks from the viewing side.
Wash the figures first and cut off the gates, then set them dry into the hatches and check that they do not clash with the turret fittings. Carry the painting out on all the figures at the same time, so that the shade of the overalls matches. Leave the helmets matte, because gloss on them looks toylike, and set the headsets apart in a darker color, or they will merge with the head. Apply the dust last and only to the shoulders and the upper edges, where it really settles in service.
The set comes as resin castings without paint, without a vehicle and without extra parts.
