This plastic figure set from Dragon in 1:35 scale represents operators of the American naval special units, the SEALs. The set combines figures in diving equipment ready to come out of the water with soldiers in camouflage with tactical vests and bush hats, so it allows a whole action scene of a landing to be built. A set of modern weapons and personal equipment goes with the figures. It is an injection-molded plastic kit intended to be glued together and painted.
The SEALs (Sea, Air and Land) are the elite special units of the US Navy, trained for operations at sea, in the air and on land, including amphibious reconnaissance and direct action. Their equipment combines diving gear with modern infantry weapons. The set captures the typical double role of these operators: a quiet arrival out of the water and the advance on land that follows.
Cut the parts from the sprue, clean up the mold lines and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Work the neoprene suits up in dark shades with a soft sheen, bring out the camouflage with a dry brush and a wash into the folds. Build the faces and hands with glazes. Finish the weapons and the vest with a restrained patina according to the setting of the scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
