US Navy SEALs of the Vietnam period, a 1:35 set brings several Black Dog resin figures in one box for a patrol in tropical terrain.
Responsibility details are not available.
A group resin box from Black Dog following on from the separately sold numbers of the same subject. The word set in the name points to more castings in one box; the particular number is missing from the data, though, and so it is not stated here.
A group of men in tropical terrain has one advantage over other subjects: it needs neither a backdrop nor a vehicle. The figures are spread out one behind another in file with gaps between them, and it is immediately clear that they are moving rather than posing. It works well to give the first and the last figure a different angle from the middle one and to leave a gap between them about twice the width of the shoulders, which in 1:35 scale corresponds to the usual interval when advancing across country.
Wash the resin castings and let them dry through thoroughly, and only then prime them. Thin parts such as straps or fingers break off easily, so support them from below when cutting the gate off. In color, let the group play: keep the base of the clothing shared, but fade it to a different degree on every figure, so that it does not look like a uniform casting from a single mold. The wet ground beneath them then ties the whole together with a dark varnish mixed with soil.
The set comes as a group of resin castings without paints, terrain or a base.
