U.S.M.C. Fire in the Hole, Tet 1968 in 1:35 scale is an unpainted figure set in casting resin from the manufacturer Bravo 6. Fire in the Hole is a period warning call before a charge is set off, which gave the composition its name.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds castings in casting resin from which you will assemble a figure composition in 1:35 scale. Fire in the Hole is an established warning call used before a charge is set off; here it serves as the name of the composition and hints only at the pose of the figures. It is not a model of equipment but a figure accessory for a diorama or a display case.
The set belongs to the range of Marines from 1968, which Bravo 6 has conceived as a collection of mutually combinable poses in a uniform sculptural style. A composition built on the moment before an explosion is rewarding in that it gives the figures marked dynamism, which a modeler can support with the placement on the base and with the surrounding scenery. The castings are supplied divided into several parts, usually torso, head, limbs and carried equipment. Resin holds finer detail than injection-molded plastic, so the folds of the uniform and the small kit stand out.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent from the mold is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, level the surfaces with abrasive paper and protect your airways while sanding, because resin dust is an irritant. It is glued with cyanoacrylate super glue; cement for plastic has no effect on resin. With dynamic poses, try the assembly out dry first and find the angle from which the composition looks best. Paint over a primer, build the skin up in thin coats and the uniform in the olive green shades of tropical field equipment. A wash into the folds, a dry brush on the edges and fine dust pigments on the footwear will tie the scene to its base.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
