About product

A set of resting figures in Anorakanzug winter clothing, Waffen-SS uniform, 1:35, PANZER ART

A resin multi-figure set in 1:35 that brings the restful poses from the same line together in one package. The Waffen-SS marking is a statement about the type of uniform, that is about the cut of the clothing and the camouflage pattern you will be painting. The Anorakanzug is a winter suit of anorak cut with a loose blouse and trousers, on period examples with a reversible treatment where one side is white and the other camouflaged. The set is an add-on for a scene or for a finished vehicle model, not a kit.

Why the set version

Restful poses side by side hold a scene together and do not read as overdone. In a set the figures are also conceived together, so they match one another in height and in overall treatment and are easier to bring together in color. Check the exact number of figures and how they are split into parts against the illustration on the packaging.

Building and painting tips

Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and level the faces after the cut with a file; sand resin wet and with your breathing protected. Look over the mold parting lines against the light and scrape any flash off with a scalpel. Try laying the figures out dry first, so that you know how they will speak to one another, and only then glue with cyanoacrylate glue and fill the gaps.

Start the painting with a primer. Build the white side of the suit on a light gray base and leave pure white for the crests of the folds. Paint the camouflaged surface in three steps: the base, larger blotches, fine drawing with a thin brush, and finally a unifying filter. With a group it pays to mix the base shades in one batch for all the figures at once, so that the figures match. Bring the folds out with a dark wash and light the edges. Paint the skin separately and with calm transitions, with a small deviation on each figure, so that they do not read as copies. At the end bring the surface together with a matte clear coat and dust the lower parts of the figures with the same pigment as the base.

Who the set is for

  • Makers of winter dioramas in 1:35
  • Modelers who want a matched group of restful poses
  • Anyone interested in painting folds and camouflage patterns
  • Collectors of resin figures with a fine rendering of detail

The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.

FAQ

The name gives only that it is a set, that is more than one figure. Check the exact number on the box of the set.

The set brings the restful poses together in one package. The items with a sequence number are the individual figures sold separately.

Vary the shade of the skin and the strength of the camouflage pattern slightly on each figure. Leave the base color of the uniform shared instead.

Cyanoacrylate glue. Cement for plastic does not bite into resin.
